There's so much to see and do in Claremont. Historic Route 66 (which is now known as Foothill Blvd.) is a main east-west thoroughfare and a most interesting drive. It's home to numerous shop and dining sites and so much more... and it will Celebrate its 95th Anniversary in 2026 along with the 100th Anniversary of "The Mother Road!" (Nov 11 2026).
The Claremont Colleges, California Botanic Garden and The Old School House are just a few of the interesting venues found along this historic highway.
Wolfe's Market has undergone a transformation. Opened in 1917, it is now owned/operated by the 4th generation of Wolfe family members. The Meat Cellar is a restaurant, full bar and meat dept. within this historic site. Wolfe's continues to offer deli and catering services.
